Jill worked with House with No Steps (now known as Aruma) from 2001 to 2005 as a project coordinator, working with people with dual diagnosis – people living with dementia, brain injury and significant mental health concerns.
Jill worked with Dementia Australia (now known as Dementia Australia) at their National Office, Northern Territory office and later the ACT office from 2007 – 2016. During this time, Jill worked across all of Dementia Australia’s suite of services including; facilitation of education and Living with Memory Loss programs, respite and social groups, early intervention and supports, policy development and the National Dementia Helpline.
Following this Jill worked with Dementia Support Australia from 2016 – 2023 as an accredited Dementia Consultant working again across all of their programs working with people displaying mild behaviours, on the dementia helpline, right through to completing needs-based assessments for people whose behaviour might render them excluded from mainstream aged care.
